Singer’s joy at reunion with Des
Monday 28th September 2009, 11:14AM BST.

Telford's Linda Angelis with Des O'Connor
A Telford singer who used to perform regularly with Des O’Connor enjoyed a memorable reunion with the evergreen entertainer when he performed at The Place @ Oakengates Theatre.
Linda Angelis, of Sutton Heights, met the star last night and gave him a song that she had written, called Girl of my Dreams, that was dedicated to Des and his wife Jodie.
Today Mrs Angelis, who has since become a songwriter and recording artist, said she had thoroughly enjoyed the reunion last night.
She said: “Des was great and his evening went with a swing. He sang songs that took the audience down memory lane and told jokes about his meeting the Royal family and how being bitten on the behind by Emu spoiled his big moment. He even asked me to bring my trumpet and play with him next time, like we used to in concert together.”
