Dog of the Week: Squiffy

Friday 25th September 2009, 6:00AM BST.

SquifeyThree year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossbreed, Squiffy, has been looking for a home at Dogs Trust Roden since January.

This gorgeous little dog was found wandering the streets as a stray and brought to the centre in the hope that a new home could be found for her.

Squiffy hasn’t had the best start in life and is therefore a little timid and doesn’t always push herself forward when visitors come to the Rehoming Centre looking to adopt a dog. Sadly, she is often overlooked.

Dogs Trust Roden Assistant Manager, Kerry Ridgway, said: “Squiffy is a lovely dog and when she gets to know you she lets her personality shine thorough. I only wish that we could find new owners who were willing to spend the time getting to know her.”

Squiffy loves to go out for a good walk and adores playing with her toys. However, most of all she loves to feel safe and loved.

She is looking for a home with an experienced adult only family who will be able to visit her a number of times before she goes home with them.

Squiffy would love to find a new home without another four legged friend so that way she will get all the love and TLC herself.

Squiffy is a very special dog who, through no fault of her own, has had an awful start to life. Yet, despite everything she has been through she still wants to find her human best friend.

If you are able to get to know Squiffy and would like to rehome her, call Dogs Trust Roden on 01952 771 193 or visit them at Roden Farm Lane, Telford, Shropshire.
