Man held over Wrekin thefts

Police today arrested a man on suspicion of stealing following reports of a string of thefts from vehicles parked near The Wrekin.
The arrest came after a member of the public reported a man acting suspiciously in the area shortly after 9.30am.
Telford police spokeswoman Denise Wakefield said a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft and taken to Malinsgate police station for questioning.
The arrest came after police warned yesterday that thieves were targeting visitors to the beauty spot.
