Motel bid hits delay
Wednesday 16th September 2009, 11:46AM BST.
A decision on whether to allow a motel to be built beside the A53/A41 junction near Market Drayton has been postponed for a second time.
Arthur Bevan has applied for outline planning permission to build the 40-bedroom motel. But his bid has been met with a storm of opposition from objectors.
When Shropshire Council admitted it had lost some let- ters of objection, the decision was deferred to yesterday’s meeting of its Area Regulatory Committee (North).
Now the decision has been deferred again so the applicant can produce a noise and ecological assessment.

“Shropshire Council admitted it had lost some letters of objection…”
How do you DO that? Lose letters of objection?
Thank God the unitary authority is doing so well.
