Stars gather to promote panto
Monday 14th September 2009, 2:27PM BST.
Stars of the stage and screen were in Shrewsbury today to promote Shrewsbury Theatre Severn’s first ever pantomime.
Peter Pan is to be staged later this year and today members of the cast, which includes Emmerdale TV soap star Matt Healy, who played Matthew King in the ITV soap, were on hand to give Shropshire school children a sneak peak of the show.
The actor will star as Captain Hook.
Organisers say Peter Pan will be the most technically demanding panto in the town’s history.
John Spillers, who has been writing and producing the town’s annual pantomime for the past 12 years, said there would be no expense spared.
