Actors let down fans and charity

Television stars disappointed hundreds of fans when they failed to turn up at a charity football match near Oswestry yesterday.
Just two Hollyoaks stars – Lee Otway who played Bombhead and Danny Tennant who plays newcomer, Natty — travelled to The Venue ground to play against a local team.
Among those who failed to show were Ricky Whittle — Calvin Valentine in Hollyoaks — Stephen Nicholas, from The Damned United, and Emmerdale’s Lewis Linford.
The event raised money for the brain injury charity, Headway, in memory of Craig Williams from Oswestry.
One of the organisers, Graeme Sutton, said the fundraisers had been let down at the last minute.
“We had a call at 11am, to say that some of the team would not be there,” he said. “Apparently a hire car had failed to turn up. We were deeply disappointed.”

Danny Dyer also did a no show, which left many people disapointed and feeling mislead as the event was billed as “Danny Dyer” football.
Given the cost, it is very poor that many of the “stars” named in the build up were no where to be seen.

JUST HAVE TO WATCH THE SOAPS INSTEAD!

Stars?? This reminds me of the scene from the film “Porridge” when the so-called “Stars” turn up for a football match with Slade Prison inmates. “I don’t recognise any if them. Who are they?” says one inmate”. “Two small parts and a Widow Twanky” says Fletch. Surely nobody missed this bunch of nobodys?

Shame on them, Headway do a fantastic job! Boycott these so callled stars…the charity will last longer than they will!!!

From the information given in the article it appears that it wasn’t the actors’ fault they couldn’t make it. They themselves were let down by the car they were attempting to hire! How dare the Star bad mouth these actors with a headline saying how they let everyone down and then hide the perfectly valid reason they were absent as one line at the end of the article. How very mis-leasding and unfair!

Don’t let the facts get in the way of a headline!
Vinnie, you have to realise that the press are but prostitutes, they will go with whoever will make them money.

What an excuse, surely they could have travelled in their own cars, to make some effort, to tey and get transport.
