Food festival is for all tastes
Thursday 10th September 2009, 8:30AM BST.
The biggest and best food festival in Shropshire starts tomorrow in Ludlow — and Shropshire Star readers are being offered reduced admission and free food and drink from producers.
By using the coupon printed in today’s paper, adults can get in for just £6 while children can get in for 50p.
The Ludlow Food Festival will run for three days in Ludlow Town Centre and about 20,000 people are expected to enjoy the fun.
To celebrate the festival, we’ve teamed up with the event’s organisers to offer a range of offers and incentives across all three days.
Tomorrow, visitors can get £1 per person off admission; on Saturday, revellers can have a drink on us by taking advantage of a unique First Come First Served offer while on Sunday people can get £1 off admission with a special Early Bird offer.
Today Ludlow Food Festival chairman Phil Maile said: “We’re delighted to team up with the Shropshire Star to offer a range of incentives for visitors.
“We regularly attract between 17,000 and 20,000 people and this year’s event is set to be our biggest and best yet. We’ve got around 130 producers, plenty of demonstrations and workshops plus much more besides.”
The festival will also feature a range of competitions and Shropshire Star food writer Andy Richardson will be among the judges of the popular Sausage Trail.
Mrs Heath added: “We were the first town to launch this type of independent event and it continues to go from strength to strength.”
- To obtain £1 off individual admission, simply take along the coupon printed in today’s Shropshire Star and present it on the gate. Your admission cost will be reduced by £1. General admission with a coupon is £6 from £7, concessionary admission is £4 from £5, children’s admission is 50p from £1.50 and a family ticket is £12 from £16.
- Tomorrow, we’ll print vouchers that could win you free bottles of beer, cider, wine or vodka and on Saturday, we’ll print a voucher that will give you an Early Bird price on Sunday.
