Stolen tractor leaves damage trail

Monday 7th September 2009, 10:29AM BST.

Thieves drove a stolen tractor through hedges, wrecking farmers’ fields near Craven Arms.

The yellow tractor/fork lift digger was stolen from the Halford area near Craven Arms on Saturday.

Police say it was stolen at about 11pm and was later found abandoned in a field in Craven Arms at about 1am on Sunday.

Constable Sean Bailey said: “It caused some damage to the fields and they ripped up hedges.”
