Here’s another of Mrs Jill Wesson’s pictures of the Church Stretton sheep sales.

The pictures were taken in 1965 by her late husband, Charles.

Here the crowd take a xlose look at the sheep on sale. The parish church is clearly visible in the background.

    What a lovely treat to open the paper and see a photo of my Grandad, one I’ve never seen before.
    The man with his foot up on the fence, fifth from the right, holding on with two hands is Grandad Fred Manley. He farmed Westhope middle Farm Where my Dad John Manley was raised.
