Slovakian star joins Telford bid
Tuesday 25th August 2009, 2:27PM BST.
Telford Titans have pulled off a major coup with the capture of former Tigers leading scorer – and allstar player – Marek Hornak ahead of the new ENL Division One season.
The Slovakian scored over 47 goals for Telford Tigers last season and was voted onto the English Premier League all-star team.
Hornak joins Telford Titans for training this week and coach Jason Parry believes he now has one of the strongest import line-ups in the ENL.
He said: “Marek is a player we have been talking to now for a few weeks, I’m delighted he has agreed join us. He had an outstanding season last year for the Tigers scoring many goals.
“This year with Marek and Karol Jets I believe we have the best and most deadly imports in the division.”
Parry is still chasing a number of other former Tigers stars after the EPL club dropped out of the league for next season.
Ice hockey fans can watch Telford Titans in action at the ice rink on Sunday when they hold an open training session from 4.30pm onwards.
