Hundreds seek festival medical help

vfestlogoMedical staff at the V music Festival at Weston Park have treated more than 750 people inside two days.

Between the gates opening on Friday morning and the end of the first day of music on Saturday, St John Ambulance staff have treated 700 revellers, while West Midlands Ambulance Service staff have seen 78.

Chris Kowalik, ambulance service spokesman, said: “Sixteen people have been taken to hospital. These cases have included pre-existing medical conditions, a fractured arm and a facial injury.”
