Work shuts busy route

The main route linking Shrewsbury and Newport is to close for repairs – raising fears of causing traffic chaos for hundreds of motorists.
The B5062 will be closed for resurfacing at Edgmond from Monday, as part of a £370,000 scheme to improve Telford’s roads.
The work at Edgmond will take up to six weeks. Through traffic will be diverted via the A442/A518.
Councillor Stephen Bentley, cabinet member for environment, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
