car-crash-1A learner driver had a lesson he will never forget when the driving school car he was in was involved in a two-car collision in Shropshire.

No-one was injured in the smash which happened on the A49 in Onibury, near Craven Arms, yesterday, just before 6pm.

A Mazda ended up on its side, but the male driver was uninjured, while the driving instructor and student were in a Peugeot.

Murray MacGregor, from West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “A community response manager was passing the scene and came across it.

“A rapid response vehicle also attended.

“Both cars received significant damage.

“The man in the Mazda was uninjured and in the Peugeot, which was a driving school car, there was a male pupil and a female instructor.

“No-one was hurt or taken to hospital.”

The road was blocked for about an hour while emergency services worked at the scene.
