Rail boost for holiday

new-shropshire-to-london-rail-linkShropshire rail passengers were today handed a boost for the Bank Holiday period after it was announced that planned engineering work is to be scrapped.

Work due to take place on August 29 and on September 5 and 6 has been cancelled with the firm behind the county’s direct link to London able to offer a full service.

A Wrexham & Shropshire spokeswoman said: “On Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, Wrexham & Shropshire will be running a special enhanced service – with early morning trains removed and extra daytime trains instead.”
