Freddie returns home from house
Wednesday 19th August 2009, 9:59AM BST.
Shropshire’s Lord of the Manor Freddie Fisher has spoken of his joy at being back at his county home after being given the boot from the Big Brother house.
Freddie, 24, returned to the county on Monday night and has been enjoying catching up on sleep now he is no longer in front of the cameras of the Channel Four show.
Freddie said it was “very nice” being back at his family home in Market Drayton after he was evicted from the Big Brother house on Friday.
And he revealed that during the bad times in the BB house he had visualised being back home at Oakley Hall.
He said: “It’s quite cool, I’ve snapped into reality a bit more, a lot more than I had so far.
“When I came back, it was like ‘OK, I’m at home now’. So far I haven’t done an awful lot apart from sleep back in my bed. It’s nice to be home.”
Freddie said he was planning to sleep more during his time at home and catch up with family and friends – although he will be returning to London over the next few days.
“I’m working on a very short horizon,” he said.
“So I’m probably going back to London in a couple of days. There’s lots to catch up on I’m sure.
“It’s kind of weird because I haven’t seen them for ages and they know what I’ve been up to in a lot of detail but at the same time I’m really curious to find out what everyone else is up to. It’s really weird, so surreal.”
The Oxford graduate said he was “strolling on day by day”.
“That was the most intense experience of my entire life, unique experience of my entire life,” he said.
“This is still part of the experience, the surreal afterwards bit.”
He said he was not planning on venturing too far away from home during his stay and would be “staying in a little bubble for the time being” while he re-established some resemblance of normality.
“At times when I was having a really, really bad time in the house I would visualise being back here,” he said.
“It’s really nice to be back here, it’s a nice safe place.”
Yesterday Freddie said it had been “weird” adjusting to life outside of the Big Brother house.
And he said it was “quite surreal” watching his former housemates on the show.
