A skydiver who survived when he fell 1,000ft after his parachute failed was today said to be improving in hospital.
Paul Lewis, 40, landed on the roof of a hangar at Tilstock Airfield in Whitchurch, on Friday afternoon.
Mr Lewis, from Shrewsbury, was airlifted to hospital after suffering what ambulance crews described as “potentially serious head and neck injuries”.
A hospital spokesman said that Mr Lewis is now in a stable condition.
