Bucks seek winning result

Larry Chambers has called for a rapid response from AFC Telford United as they look to return to winning ways at home to Hinckley tonight.
The Bucks went down 3-1 at Fleetwood in Saturday’s Blue Square North clash and assistant manager Chambers wants them to take their frustration out on Dean Thomas’ Hinckley.
Telford will be without skipper Stuart Whitehead, who has still not recovered fully from his knee injury, and the No 2 admits his absence is a blow.
“There were a lot of positives at Fleetwood, but we’re not going to win many games away from home defending like that,” he said.
“It’s alright having chances, but we’ve got to be more clinical – at both ends of the pitch.
“The thing about Dean’s sides are that they are always fit and competitive. They will be disappointed to have lost on Saturday so they will be looking to bounce back, just like us.
“Generally our home form has been good over the years, and it needs to be. We are looking for a response from the lads.”
Chambers still hopes to have centre-back Whitehead available for Saturday’s trip to Gainsborough Trinity, who threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 at Hyde last night.
The experienced defender is rated as a decent chance for that one, but tonight’s clash at the New Bucks Head has come too soon for him.
“He won’t be ready and it’s not worth risking him,” said Chambers. “He will train tonight and again on Thursday, then we’ll assess his chances for Saturday.
“We want him back as soon as possible because he’s a massive player for us – he looked sharp in pre-season and it’s very unfortunate.
“Without being disrespectful to anyone else, we’re a different side when he’s playing.”
