Fleetwood Town 3 AFC Telford United 1
Sunday 16th August 2009, 12:37PM BST.
AFC Telford United suffered their first defeat of the Blue Square North season as they were beaten 3-1 away at big-spending Fleetwood Town.
The Bucks fell two goals down by half-time on Saturday, Tom Cahill on target twice for the Codmen.
Andy Brown thought he had pulled one back early in the second half, only for the effort to be disallowed because of a push inside the box.
Fleetwood then proceeded to make the points safe as Sean Clancy fired in a third on 63 minutes when Telford failed to clear a corner.
The Bucks gained a small consolation when Brown converted a penalty in the fourth minute of injury-time after he had been brought down by keeper Danny Hurst.
