New service heading for London

The train at BridgnorthIt was all systems go at a Shropshire station today for the departure of its first ever direct service to London.

Dozens of rail users jumped aboard the train at the Severn Valley Railway station in Bridgnorth this morning.

Ian Baxter, general manager of Chiltern Railways, which was running the service, said he hoped people would take advantage of the one-day service.
