The PA was overly loud and clearly audible in Belle Vue on both afternoons and the fireworks were like an artillery barrage. Lots for the Residents Association to get worked up about I would have thought, but then the gentrified Horticultural Society and their lapdogs at council HQ can do pretty much what they like. Don’t forget the Quarry is only ours when they let it be..oh!..and DO remember that your council tax is due on Monday the 31st – promptly.

We could hear it Cound near Cressage but who cares only two days a year, I just hope next year the same levels of sounds are allowed for the concerts in the quarry. Turn it up I say so we can all hear and it might also remind us all there is life in Srewsbury so get out and enjoy it !!!!

On Saturday for us sitting in the seats by the arena the PA was excruciatingly loud with many holding their hands over their ears at times. Was there ever a sound check on the volume done and if so was it by qualified engineers or just a steward saying ‘that’ll do’.Surely a Health and Safety issue here

Well done to the organisers for such a fantastic event. It is events like this that puts Shrewsbury on the map and brings people in from out of town. Surely certain people can put up with a little bit of additional noise and traffic for 2 days a year for the benefit of the town and the local economy. I think the PA was excellent, a vast improvement on previous years, and added value to the band and choir performances and the brilliant fireworks display.

An excellent show very well organised with a brilliant PA that was a vast improvement over previous years, I could hear it in the town but it only happens two days a year so get over it!
Glad to see something of interest happens in shrewsbury

Bigbeast is only pointing out that we have a lot of hypocrites in Shrewsbury who have never complained about the noise of the Flower Show nor Opera singing like Katherine Jenkins nor perhaps Jools Holland but something more to the taste of the younger generation held in the Quarry is keeping babies awake, giving the elderly blinding headaches, lowering the grey tone of the town etc etc!!
