Bottom two hold nerve

bowls1Tension is mounting at the bottom of the Furrows Shropshire Premier Bowls League as the bottom two sides held their nerve to win last night.

Childs Ercall, bottom before last night’s round of games eased to a 12-2 win over Bowring (+86).

Bylet were also comfortable home winners on the night, recording a 10-4 (+34) victory over mid-table Newport with Rich Morris the biggest winner for them with a 21-7 success.

There were no shocks at the top of the table with defending champions and league leaders Castlefields 8-6 victors (+12) over Ifton.

Second-placed St Georges were big winners against Wem USC (13-1 +81), while Chester Road eased to a 12-2 home win (+87) against Archibald Worthington.
