Organisers of Montgomery Show are hoping this year’s event on Saturday will be even bigger and better than ever before.

Attractions will include a dog show, archery, a climbing wall, performances by Knighton Silver Band and various competitions.

Show secretary Mary Bunner said the day’s events would start at 10am with the judging of exhibits.

She said: “We’re looking forward to this year’s event and hope hundreds of people will attend the event at Lymore Meadows.”

The carnival procession will leave the town’s Broad Street at 12.45pm and will be led by Carnival Queen Helydd Hamer who will be crowned at 1.45pm at the showground.

Entry is £3 for adults and £2 for children and senior citizens.
