Police name crash death girl
Wednesday 5th August 2009, 3:05PM BST.
A schoolgirl who died after the car she was travelling in collided with a lorry was today named as Jasmeet Kaur, from Telford.
The 14-year-old died at the scene of the crash on the west Berkshire stretch of the M4 on Sunday, at about 6.20am.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been released on bail.
Paul Beecroft, West Berkshire coroner’s officer, said: “The girl has been identified as Jasmeet Kaur, aged 14, from Telford.
Mr Peter Bedford, Berkshire coroner, will open the inquest in due course.”
