New clerk for town council

A new town clerk has been chosen to head up Shrewsbury Town Council on a salary in the region of £50,000.
Helen Ball, 43, will take up her post at the Guildhall on September 28.
The married mum-of-two is leaving her post as Beverley Town Council clerk in East Yorkshire. She was selected by a panel of town councillors.
