In November a new play will be staged in Shropshire, a play based on life at the old Silhouette underwear and swimwear factories.
Silhouette was a major county employer in the 1960s. The Made in Shrewsbury Group, which researches historic Shropshire firms, was looking into its story and decided that it had the makings of a musical production.
Nigel Hinton, who runs the Made in Shrewsbury Group, got in touch with playwrite Chris Eldon Lee and, after securing funding from the Arts Council, the play is now taking shape.
It will be performed at the new Theatre Severn and the Festival Drayton Centre in November.
