Harry Patch – in pictures
Saturday 25th July 2009, 1:20PM BST.
Pictures of Harry Patch, the last survivor of World War I to fight in the trenches, who died today aged 111. Mr Patch lived in Shropshire after the war and put his longevity down to the clear air coming from the Welsh mountains.
The Shropshire Star presented Harry Patch with a painting of The Wrekin to mark his 110th birthday on June 17, 2008. One of his last ambitions was to see once more the view from its summit.
Shropshire Star reporter Lisa Rowley went to Mr Patch’s care home in Wells, Somerset, to present him with the painting, and she is seen unwrapping it for him.

HARRY PATCH GREAT MAN WHO PASS AWAY TODAY .HIM AND HIS MATE GOODBYE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN

The last survivor of a sad and important part of history is at rest now, and is finally among his family and friends who have been waiting so long for him.
Although the common man may learn how to be a better person from Mr. Patch’s words and experiences, politicians will continue to put their own greedy heads in the sand…thus pretty much pretty guaranteeing that war will always be a part of our existance. :(

What a hero so as the other hero;s.but folks let us see the facts and end this plague of manking
ones and for all with a simple way but we need all the jounalists and here the solution.Publish on the front page of all the newspapers in big letters where the weapons come from , how pay for it,and how benefit from it with photo’s residence etc.and track them down when they are captured let them go with a sign on the front and the back I AM SO & SO the SCUM OF THIS EARTH and believe me there will be no more wars
