Woman dies in road crash

A woman was killed today after the car she was driving was involved in a serious collision on a Shropshire road.
Police today said it was thought the car collided with a fence in the crash, which happened on the A528, about half a mile outside of Ellesmere, just before 8am.
The woman, in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for about two hours as investigations took place into the collision.
