Dog of the Week: Windsor
Thursday 16th July 2009, 7:48AM BST.
This week’s Shropshire Star Dog of the Week is Windsor, a seven year old black Collie cross who is looking for his new human best friend.
Although he may have the name of the most famous family in England, Windsor certainly hasn’t had a privileged life so far. He was handed into Dogs Trust Roden after his owners could no longer care for him.
Dogs Trust Roden Manager, Louise Campbell, said: “Windsor isn’t looking to live in a palace or be treated like royalty, all he wants is to find a family who will love him and give him lots of cuddles.
His favourite things are eating, playing with tennis balls in the garden and getting lots of attention – not much to ask!”
Windsor would prefer to be in a home where he is the only dog and any children are over the age of seven.
If you think you could be Windsor’s new owner, please visit Dogs Trust Roden, Roden Lane Farm, Telford, or call 01952 770225.
