Festival tickets nearing sell-out

Wednesday 15th July 2009, 11:35AM BST.

folkTickets for Shropshire’s biggest music festival are on course for a sell-out, delighted organisers said today.

Despite an extra 300 tickets being laid on for this year’s event, demand appears to be firmer than ever for The Shrewsbury Folk Festival at the town’s Berwick Road Showground between August 28 and 31.

Only a handful of day tickets are still available for Friday, Sunday and Monday and organisers say that adult weekend tickets will be sold out ahead of schedule.

And people who are unable to make it to the festival will also be able to watch the event’s main stage performances broadcast live for free on its website.

Headliners at this year’s event will include The Proclaimers, Seth Lakeman and Show of Hands.

To book tickets visit www.shrewsburyfolkfestival.co.uk or call (01746) 768813.

Quafftastic! Bring it on. I think its only right and proper that I do my modest bit towards keeping the small independent breweries…in er..liquidity.
