Craig back in the house

Tuesday 14th July 2009, 12:48PM BST.

sd3229288grab-3Big Brother winner Craig Phillips re-entered the house to challenge the county’s latest hopeful to an assault course task – 10 years after being crowned the series’ first winner.

Craig, from Newport, who won the inaugural Big Brother, jumped through tyres, wriggled under netting, balanced along a see-saw and completed other tests during a head-to-head with Freddie Fisher.

Fisher looked to have the measure of his man, but fell to the ground while trying to navigate the see-saw. Phillips then told him: “Good to meet you, take care.”

Fisher, from Market Drayton, was celebrating his escape from nomination for eviction for the first time in six weeks. Housemates Noirin and Karly will face the public vote this week. The duo will be joined in Friday’s public vote for the chop by Siavash and model Sophie Read.

Meanwhile the shocked friends of evicted housemate Kris Donnelly, from Shrewsbury, have defended him against critics who claim he’s a womaniser.

Oswestry-based Zak Manhire, a real-life housemate of Kris’s who shares a flat with the 24-year-old, said he had expected his pal to reach the final three.

“It’s still a shock, we’re all gutted for him,” said Zak. “He doesn’t deserve to be hated – he’s a great lad.”
