Six sixes in one over
Monday 13th July 2009, 7:00PM BST.
Sir Garfield Sobers may have been the first to achieve it – but a Shropshire cricketer matched the West Indies legend’s feat by hitting an amazing six sixes in one over.
St Georges third XI batsman Avi Mathur produced the stunning display of power hitting in the FBC Division Three match against Frankton seconds.
Frankton captain Chris Rogers was the unfortunate bowler, while Mathur ended on 86.
But it was still only enough for his side to secure a draw as they ended on 202-8, chasing 209 in 40 overs.

id just like to say that the bowler was meant to be a spin bowler shame he didnt use the pitch. i was umpiring at the time and saw the amazing feet. he then proceeded to tell me he want 12 sixes in 2 overs shame he got out 3 balls later.
