Different beliefs are cause of the divide

Letter: In response to Muhammad Azfar’s letter regarding halal and kosher meat, I respect the fact that the meat has to be prepared in a certain manner according to the religion of both the Muslims and the Jews.
Although I disagree that it still needs to be done in such a manner. That is why Christ is the factor that abolishes the law.
Blood is the important issue here, because it is what carries oxygen around the organs of the body for them to function properly. Christ shed His blood for our sins which sets us free from the law and the prophets – but why?
Christ was crucified for claiming he was God. The Jews were the ones who called for his crucifixion and even when he rose from the dead, they failed to see that he was their awaited Messiah. He fulfilled the law and the prophets and abolished them.
Strangely, both Muslims and Jews adhere to the Mosaic Law that requires kosher and halal meat.
Strangely, both nations have the same father – Abram. The nation of Islam comes from the union of Abram and Hagar (Genesis 16: 9-12), whereas the Jewish nation comes from the union between Abraham and Sarah.
The Bible tells us in Genesis 17:4-5 that Abraham only became Abraham when God breathed on him. So clearly both religions follow the Old Testament laws, both religions deny that Christ is God. This is the factor that separates Jews, Muslims and Christians.
