Well done Council, hold to it. These monstrosities should not be permitted above ground. Kent, a once beautiful county has been utterly ruined by these things which spread in all directions and besmirch and blight everywhere they are put. What’s the betting the Government go against the Council though, just about par for the course.

These power lines are a blight on our countryside – what is the point of encouraging tourists to our area to see these monstrosities? And so close to the canal recently designated an UNESCO world heritage site.
Gas and Water utility companies wouldn’t dream of overhead supplies – why should electricity be different? The company has admitted that maintenance costs for underground lines are lower so it’s only the monetary gain from an overhead line would be temporary.
Thank you Shropshire Council.

Its all down to cost you can bet your bottom dollar (no pun intended) overhead is quicker and cheaper, like the bit from L Ellis ref gas and water overhead supplies mind you in Russia they run huge overland gas pipes.
