Collision driver cut out of car

A woman had to be cut out of a car by firefighters after two cars collided in a Mid Wales village.
The woman, who is believed to have suffered only minor injuries, was cut out of the vehicle yesterday with specialist hydraulic equipment after the incident which happened at 10.53am in Dolau near Knighton.
A spokesman for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue said: “It was two vehicles involved in a road traffic collision and we removed a woman from one of the vehicles using cutting equipment.
“It happened on the A488 at Dolau village between Cross Gates and Knighton.”
A spokeswoman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said they had received a call and attended the scene but did not take anyone to hospital.
