Mid Wales woman Gaynor Morris has completed a sponsored climb of the highest mountain in Wales in a bid to raise funds for charity.
Gaynor, who is the Local Business Manager at Barclays Bank in Newtown, made the steep climb up Snowdon last Saturday to raise funds for the MacMillan Cancer Support Charity.
She was joined on the climb by her daughter Rosie, aged 13, and son David, aged 8.
“Many of us have lost a relative or friend to cancer,” says Gaynor.
“I’ve lost a friend and two customers, and my stepmum has suffered with breast cancer too. It’s terrifying.
“I decided I had to do something to support such a good cause, and I wanted to highlight the wonderful work that MacMillan Cancer Support do.”
Gaynor has raised an impressive £700 in sponsorship, which Barclayas Bank in Newtown have agreed to match, taking the total to £1,400.
