Boy, 8, still very poorly

An eight-year-old Shropshire boy remained in a critical condition in hospital today after he was involved in a collision with a car near his home.

Tom Rowley was airlifted to Birmingham Children’s Hospital from the Princess Royal Hospital after the accident in Hadley Park Road in Leegomery, Telford.

The youngster suffered serious head injuries and was in a critical but stable condition in hospital today.

He was involved in a collision with a silver BMW just before 5.30pm on Thursday.
