Biker hurt in accident

A 40-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with a suspected punctured lung after he crashed into a hedge on the Broseley to Bridgnorth road yesterday.
Firefighters, police and ambulance crews were scrambled to the scene close to Malthouse Cottages at Astley Abbots, near Bridgnorth, shortly after 9pm.
The rider of the Red Suzuki bike was believed to be trapped in a hedge after his motorbike left the road.
A nine-year-old boy, thought to be a pillion passenger on the bike, was not injured. The Telford man was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
