Fans snap up Bucks tickets

AFC Telford United remain on course for record season ticket sales – with almost 500 snapped up ahead of today’s early bird deadline.
Tickets have been available at discounted prices for the last few weeks, and the response from Bucks fans has been brisk.
Chairman Lee Carter has been thrilled by the interest and is now confident last year’s final total of just over 700 can be eclipsed.
“We’re delighted to have sold so many through the early bird scheme,” he declared.
“It’s certainly a much bigger number than we’ve ever been able to sell ahead of the early bird deadline before, so that is encouraging.
“I know of a plenty of people who have not got in on time to meet the deadline but still plan to buy a season ticket.
“I think we’re still on to at least match the figures we managed last year, and it looks very much like we could even break it as well.”
Carter also issued a heart-felt thank you to the supporters for continuing to back the club with their hard-earned cash despite the difficult financial climate.
“People are really having to dig deep in the face of uncertain times in terms of employment,” he added.
“Most people have had to tighten their belts and watch the household budgets, so the fact that they still think we are worth supporting is very pleasing,” he added.
