powis-hall-22The team behind a makeover prize won by Oswestry’s Powis Hall Market will be in Shropshire next week to take a first look at the building.

The 1960s indoor market hall won an online competition to be transformed by top British designers Sir Terence Conran and Tara Bernerd.

Oswestry Town Council, which owns the hall, today said the team would be in the town on July 3.

Council clerk David Preston said that the visit would be a fact-finding mission and the two main designers would not be present at this stage.

He said: “They will be looking at the building and the issues surrounding it.”
