New case of swine flu

A third case of swine flu has today been confirmed in Powys.

The 24-year-old man has been offered anti-viral medicine and is said to be recovering.

The Welsh Assembly Government said the National Public Health Service for Wales is investigating the source of the infection and close contacts had been identified.

Two soldiers, aged 22 and 28 training in Brecon, have already been confirmed as having the disease.

They are both members of the 3rd Battalion of the Mercian Regiment and are both being treated in the town.
