Car turned over on A5

A female driver was taken to hospital after her car overturned on the A5 on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.
Hundreds of motorists faced rush hour delays following the crash between the Emstrey and Preston islands yesterday.
Police, paramedics and two fire crews from Shrewsbury were called to the scene at 5.25pm. The road was not fully cleared until 6.30pm.
The woman was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said the woman suffered no apparent injuries but due to her traumatic experience she had been taken as a precaution.
