Fire victim improving

Wednesday 24th June 2009, 5:00PM BST.

A woman left fighting for her life after a blaze ripped through her Telford home, killing her boyfriend and injuring her two children, is improving in hospital, police said today.

Andrea Partington, 35, has been in Birmingham’s Selly Oak Hospital with serious burns since the fire at her home in Sunderland Dri-ve, Leegomery, on June 9.

Adrian Hemming, 37, died the day after the fire from his burns. Police said the fire was being treated as suspicious, but they are not looking for anyone else in connection with it. Mrs Partington’s children, Regan, six, and Jack, nine, were rescued by neighbours.
