Motorcylist pronounced dead at crash site

One motorcyclist died and two others were injured in a string of accidents which kept emergency services busy across Shropshire over the weekend.
The biker who died was involved in a collision with a four-wheel drive near the The Woodman Inn in Danford, Claverley, near Bridgnorth. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said his blue Kawasaki motorbike collided with a black BMW X5 at about 7.30pm on Friday.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival at the scene crews found a man who had suffered serious multiple injuries. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of the ambulance crew and the paramedics from the air ambulance, nothing could be done to save the man.”
None of the occupants of the car were injured.
Sergeant Steven Fitzpatrick, of Bridgnorth Police Station, is investigating the collision.
He said: “I would ask anybody who saw the crash or the manner of driving by either vehicle involved immediately beforehand to please contact police on 0300 333 3000.”
The coroner for South Shropshire, Mr Anthony Sibcy, has been informed.
In Cleobury Mortimer, a teenager was airlifted to Birmingham Children’s Hospital after falling from his motorbike.
“The youth, believed to be 15, was treated for a suspected fractured leg and serious pelvic injury. The accident happened at Hungary Hill at about 12.30pm yesterday.
A third motorcyclist was airlifted to University Hospital North Staffordshire after suffering chest injuries while riding in a field near Oswestry, yesterday. The accident happened at a farm in Llawnt, at about 5.35pm.
