The Jackdaws played an awesome set on Saturday, it was most definitely a well-deserved win! Well done to the lads!

Callebra are a fantastic band and they were great on the night, the singer has an incredible voice. However, it was hardly a fix given that The Jackdaws changed judges opinions with their one, final song and it was a close run thing up to that point between them and Decadence in Berlin, who were also great. I love it how people claim a fix just because they have different tastes and might have liked another band more. I have to admit that the Busted-esque tunes of Hill Valley High didn’t do a lot for me but they played really well. I do know that The Jackdaws entered without even thinking of winning it, they just wanted to play at such a great venue, so fair play to them. They were awesome on the night.

There’s a much better local band: The Badgers. At the weekend, they played a great set.

Boom boom H…except it’s ‘sett’.

It can be set or sett, actually, merc. It’s one of my “stand up” gags so it doesn’t translate too well to the pen or keyboard.
