His claims included for a regular mortgage payment of £1,387.75. Between March 1 and 31, 2008, a claim was made for a deposit on a new flat of £1,015.

His food bill claims ranged from £225 to £400.

Between January 1 and 31, 2008 he made a £23.60 claim for towels and between April 1 and 30, 2007 a claim for £86.97 worth of bedding.

Telephone and telecommunications claims remained the same at 10 each time one was made.

He asked for his television licence to be paid in September 2007 at a cost of 135.

Communications allowance 2007/8 – total £17,906

This included £7,279.13 for a two-colour printer. He asked for £1,563 to be paid for stamps, including for survey work.

The claims included a total cost of £5,172 for printing contact your MP and surgery leaflets and distributing leaflets.

There were claims made for payments to Royal Mail for deliveries.

There were regular claims for adverts to go in the local press advertising his constituency surgeries.

Incidental expenses claims include receipts for petty cash, mobile phone calls, Npower bills, paper, room hire, BT charges including for broadband, a phone/answer machine, rental of a copier, other stationery such as pens, correction fluid, highlighters and rubber bands.

There was also a £264.24 claim for a hire car and several claims for Lakeland lite milk jiggers.

He put in a receipt for a £41.13 brass plaque for his office and one for £300 for accounting services.

Mr Wright received the accountancy bill after he was visited by someone taking instructions on completing his 2007 self-assessment return. He also paid £3,666 rent to Telford & Wrekin Council and a bill for insurance sent to the authority of £176.25.
