FTSE 100 drops in early trading

The FTSE 100 was down in early trading as gains and losses were spilt across sectors.
At 9:27 BST, the blue chip index was down 0.33 per cent to 4,264.53 – a drop of 13.93 and continuing falls from yesterday that took the index under the 4,300 mark.
Lloyds Banking led the gains – rising 2.09 per cent to 68.50p.
Hedge fund Man Group rose 1.91 per cent, Tullow Oil was up 1.52 per cent, British Airways gained 1.29 per cent and Rolls-Royce climbed 1.11 per cent.
InterContinental Hotels was down 2.92 per cent and TUI Travel fell 2.60 per cent.
Miner Rio Tinto dropped 2.41 per cent, Rexam was down 2.37 per cent and insurer Aviva dropped 2.36 per cent.
Last night in the US, markets were stable.
The Dow Jones closed down 0.09 per cent to 8,497.18, while the S&P 500 was down 0.14 per cent.
