Meeting over ‘crumbling’ roads
Tuesday 16th June 2009, 6:00PM BST.
Roads around a north Shropshire village are deteriorating and becoming dangerous because of bad weather, poor maintenance and use by heavy agricultural vehicles, it was claimed today.
Villagers in Whixall are set to meet with an engineer from Shropshire Council to discuss problems.
Paula Poole, Whixall Parish Council clerk, said people were concerned about the conditions and road safety.
People are invited to go along and give their views at a meeting on July 8 at 7.30pm at Whixall Social Centre.
