Seven people – including five children – needed hospital treatment following a house fire in a village between Telford and Wolverhampton.
Emergency services were called an address in Brewood at 6.55am yesterday.
Suzie Fothergill, West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman, said: “On arrival at the scene, crews treated five children for smoke inhalation before taking them to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton.
“Two adults, a man and woman, were also treated at the scene. The man had also suffered burns to his feet.
“Both were transferred to the same hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
