Town offer is quids in
Saturday 13th June 2009, 12:00PM BST.
Shrewsbury Town fans have until the close of business on Monday to snap up season tickets at discounted ‘early bird’ rates.
Club officials have been delighted with the up-take so far, and believe they are well on track to beat last season’s sales figure of more than 2,700.
Now they are urging anyone still considering making a purchase to do so quickly before prices go up.
The early bird scheme offers big savings, with adult Band A tickets currently priced at £330 and Band B tickets at £280.
Fans renewing a ticket from last season stand to make even bigger savings, with prices pegged at the prices originally available when the scheme was launched at February – £306 (Band A) and £255 (Band B).
The response for season tickets has been superb since we announced the original deal back in April,” said club general manager Jon Harris.
“Fans have continued to buy their season tickets and as things stand it will only take a few more sales to beat last season record sales.
“It shows the support that the club has and let’s hope that the players can build on the success of last season and go that one step further.”
Meanwhile, the club has also confirmed that matchday admission prices for next season would be frozen at 2008-09 levels.
Supporters will still get a discount by buying tickets in advance of matches rather than waiting until Saturdays.
