Town set for its carnival
Friday 12th June 2009, 12:21PM BST.
Thousands of people are expected to turn out in Newport tomorrow for its annual carnival.
Thirteen floats will be winding their way around the town from noon heading for Shuker Field.
Organisers were today hoping for good weather for the 36th extravaganza.
Among the attractions will be entertainment in the main arena stage, a fun fair, a circus workshop and music.
